My mom told me that when I was younger I used to click the shutter of a Kodak Instamatic Camera. It didn’t make any sense to me until I really got into photography
I started taking pictures when I was about 14 or 15 years old. My dad gave me my first real camera, a Pentax K1000 fully manual camera. He took me on my first trip to Longwood Gardens which inspired a lot of creativity within me. By the time I graduated high school I was considering attending art school for photography. I was accepted to Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography in 1995. While there, I learned how to make a picture be even more fantastic than I ever thought possible.
I took a break from photography for awhile and went to work, got married and started a family. I am a stay at home mom now and while I am spending lots of time with my family, I am finally able to get back to my one true passion, which is to take awesome pictures.
I most enjoy taking pictures of landscapes, flowers, sunsets on the bay, scenery, school events, and portraits of children, as well as adults. I like to get down and dirty- meaning laying on the ground looking out or up at an object- in order to get the right perspective of the picture. I also like to get the fine art of a picture. My specialty is black & white.
Most recently I have been working with an events magazine. I have had 2 publications in their magazine.
